2025-26 Upper Deck Hockey Parkhurst Hobby Box
Parkhurst Is Back β and It's Bringing the 1950s With It
There's nothing quite like cracking a hobby box that feels like it came straight out of your grandfather's collection β except this one's got modern rookie autos tucked inside. The 2025-26 Upper Deck Parkhurst Hockey Hobby Box is one of the most distinctive releases on the hockey card calendar, and it delivers that rare combo of vintage soul and fresh hits that keeps collectors coming back every single year.
Each hobby box comes loaded with 16 packs, 8 cards per pack β and the per-box averages are stacked: 1 autograph, 4 numbered cards, 16 Base Set Rookie cards, 16 1954-55 Parkhurst Retro cards, and 10 of those classic Canadiana-themed inserts (Birds, Fish, Provinces β yes, really, and yes, they're awesome).
The Hits You're Chasing
Parkhurst Penworks is the autograph set to know. It features top rookies and veterans in single, dual, triple, and quad signed versions β some numbered as low as 10. The 1954-55 Parkhurst Retro Auto Patch parallels are the real trophy cards, numbered to 49 for the base version and as tight as #'d to 5 for 1st Team All-Stars. Rookie Auto Patch cards are also in the mix with varied numbering β always worth the hunt.
Then there's Nuclear Fusion β a special-coated insert set with a design pulled straight from 1950s atomic-age art. Hit one of these and you'll know it the second it slides out of the pack.
For the Set Collectors
Parkhurst has always been a set builder's paradise, and this edition is no different. The 1954-55 Parkhurst Retros insert set includes base versions, 1st Team All-Stars, 2nd Team All-Stars, and In Action cards β each with Gum Back (299 copies), Blank Back (10 copies), and Printing Plate variants. The base set runs cards 1β200 with Rookie SPs at 201β250, and the parallel ladder is deep:
- Gum Back β 299 copies
- Est. 1951 Gold β 151 copies
- Est. 1951 Emerald Ice β numbered to 51
- 1954-55 Wrapper Back β numbered to 15
- Est. 1951 Gold Spectrum β 1-of-1
Canadiana insert collectors will want to build out the Parkhurst Canadian Birds, Parkhurst Fish, and Parkhurst Canadian Provinces sets β each seeded at 1:16. The artwork on these cards carries that warm, hand-illustrated vintage feel that makes Parkhurst stand apart from every other product on the shelf. It's the kind of set you pull and immediately want to frame.
